EN The European and World Championships are over this year, but the European Cup is still in full swing. The fact that the Olympic qualification is over has definitely contributed to the lower number of competitors in the elite categories. Even so, at the start of the race, which was greatly affected by the weather, several famous names presented themselves. Evropský pohár The very strong wind throughout the weekend resulted in even the elite categories racing through the mini section. That was a shame, because the professional section here looked interesting. The number of our representatives at the start of this weekend was small, but we still managed to grab some nice positions and many finals. Elen Lapková (Cat. Girls 15/16) continues her great season and this weekend meant not only two more final places for her, but also her first European podium. After fifth place on Saturday, she made her way to second place overall in Sunday's race! Vít Novotný took fifth place in the Boys 15/16 category in Saturday's race, and on Sunday the gates of the final closed for him with sixth place in the semi-finals. Our elite player Eliška Bartuňková, like Elen, was in the finals on both days. However, they changed their day on stage. Eliška finished third in Saturday's race and crossed the finish line in sixth place on Sunday. We also had finalists in the challenge categories. On Saturday, these drivers took care of the final positions. Michal Novotný finished sixth (Cruiser 30/44), Tadeáš Vlk won among the Boys 10 drivers, Barbora Maarová (fourth) and Dominika Vysocka (sixth) in the Girls 11/12 category. The strong Czech class of Boys 13 drivers had three representatives in the final, namely Alan Pětioký (second), Dominik Ráliš (fifth) and Adam Jindrák (sixth). Also Ondřej Lux, who finished bronze in the Boys 14 category. On Sunday, Lukáš Smrž finished fourth in the Cruiser 45+ category, Tadeáš Vlk achieved a weekend double and won again in the Boys 10 category, Barbora Maarová was our only representative in the Girls 11/12 category this time and finished fifth. Benjamin Fojtík finished fifth, Boys 12 also fifth. And finally, in the category Boys 13, it was again the third of our riders who stood at the start of the final. Dominik Ráliš won, David Lapka finished fourth and Alan Pětioký sixth. The following three weekends will be directed by the home race. MBL in Vyškov already next weekend, which will be followed by ČBL in Nižbor and then the long-awaited MCR in Prague-Bohnice.
