EN In the first half of the race, cyclists of many disciplines fought for precious metals and rainbow jerseys at the World Cycling Championships, hosted by Glasgow, Scotland. It was the first ever world championship that included almost all cycling disciplines and was therefore a kind of "cycling Olympics". The same format should be repeated in four years. The Czech BMX team had representatives here. In the junior categories, it was Sabina Košárková, who defended her bronze from last year's World Championships and this year took sixth place at the European Championships in France. Also Jakub Cidlinský, this year's champion of the Czech Republic in the Junior Men category. In the Men U23 category, we had two representatives in the form of Matěj Linhart and Marek Neužil, who already has great results this season (podium at the World Cup, fifth place at the EC). The last member of the national team was Eliška Bartůňková, who presented herself in the Women Elite category. Závody All those mentioned above advanced from the qualifying round to the next fights. Jakub Cidlinský finished after falling in the 1/8 final, Matěj Linhart achieved the same result. The race for Eliška Bartůňková ended with the quarterfinals. Sabina Košárková and Marko Neužil fought for a place in the TOP 8. Unfortunately, they both missed out on advancing to the finals, so Sabina said goodbye to the Junior Women category with 11th place, and Marek Neužil will aim for a better than overall 10th place at the WC next year. Challenge category riders also took part in the BMX World Championship, and here we managed to win three world championship titles. One was won by Adam Peterek from Opava (Cruiser 8-12), who also finished fifth in the Boys 12 category, and the Pardubice riders Tomáš Souček in the Boys 9 category and Dominik Ráliš in the Boys 12 category became world champions.
