EN I was asked by the rider Alexander Rollo to allow me to carry out factual research on the topic of how the height of the riders affects the position in the race. I have complied with this request, the research will take place at the MČR, and I am attaching its text to the request below. In the Czech Republic, the division of bicross riders into the "Challenge" category is determined by age and bike size, in accordance with UCI rules. When determining age, it is not important what the rider's age is on the day of the race, but what age he reaches in the given calendar year. In the Challenge categories, girls can choose whether they will ride their age category or a category one year younger. Challenge categories on 20-inch bikes are "Boys 6 and under, Boys 7, Boys 8, Boys 9, Boys 10, Boys 11, Boys 12", etc. For example, this year the Boys 10 category includes boys and girls born from January 1 to December 31, 2014, or girls born from January 1 to December 31, 2013. The race is based on the system KsK + KO and the grand final. Advancement to the KO elimination phase is decided by the total number of points achieved in the basic qualifying races. Administrativa A deeper insight into bicross racing brings a whole range of interesting questions, the answers to which could help the development of not only children, but also this beautiful sport. In this way, I present to you a study dealing with the simple question, to what extent is the height of riders of younger school age related to their racing position. The Czech Republic Individual Championship race, organized by TJ SLOVAN BOHNICE PRAGUE 8 – BMX SECTION on July 6, 2024, was selected for this study. The methodology of this study consists in determining the height of the rider on the day of the race, and the subsequent statistical evaluation of the results of the Race. Practically speaking, on the day of the Race, after the training of Block 1, i.e. from 9:30 to 10:30, the riders of the category "B6, B7, B8, B9, B10, B11 and B12" will come to the organizer's booth at the finish line to measure their height. Height will be measured by riders without shoes and helmets. I would like to inform all competitors and their representatives that participation in this study is voluntary. If it is possible to obtain a sufficiently representative sample of data, the results will be processed and presented anonymously, again here on the website https://czechbmx.cz. I wish all the competitors the best of luck. To their loved ones and other supporters to enjoy this bicross holiday with a pleasant spectacle. And to everyone who decides to support my initiative, including the organizers and organizers of the Race, thank you very much, Alexandr Rollo (617).
