EN Unlike the traditional UEC EP host locations, such as Verona or Zolder, the competitors had variety in the form of the French track in the city of Lempdes. As a general rule, French tracks are among the best and also very technical. That was true even now. Today, the somewhat unconventional layout of the track with the first very long corner was an obstacle for some competitors and the riders starting from the outside tracks were at a big disadvantage, but as they say, it's all the same. There were significantly fewer Czech representatives going to Lempdes than usual, but even so we recorded success on both fronts, i.e. in the Championship and Challenge categories. Evropský pohár First-year junior Elen Lapková continues to build her position among the finalists of the European Cups, and after an unfortunate fall in the semifinals of the fourth round of the EP, she returned to the TOP 8 of her category, on both days! She put the fall in the final on Saturday, which earned her seventh place, behind her head, and on Sunday she flashed fourth place. On Saturday, she was not the only Czech finalist, as Štěpánka Fremlová took the same position in the Girls 15/16 category. Sunday's race in the semi-finals ended here. Junior Viktor Oldřich Chudoba had the opposite course of his weekend in France and improved Saturday's semi-final with Sunday's sixth place. Above all, however, he was close to the podium for a long time from the start of the finals, and we believe that he will succeed at the next round of the EP in Tiel, the Netherlands. For our elite representative Eliška Bartuňková, the gates of the final closed in the semi-finals on both days. The winners' podiums, which our fastest competitors did not manage to climb, were conquered by Challenge category riders. On Saturday, two Czechs stood on the highest step. We are talking about Sebastián Štěpánek (Boys 8) and Tomaš Souček (Boys 11). The other person who won a medal on Saturday was Dominik Ráliš, who won silver in the Boys 14 category, who was joined by fifth Alan Pětioký in the final of this category. Like Alan, Benjamin Fojtík placed in the one year younger category. On Sunday, Ráliš and Štěpánek swapped positions, so to speak. Ráliš won in the Boys 14 category and Štěpánek finished second in the Boys 8 category. For that, Tomáš Souček won gold for the second time and won a double in the Boys 11 category. Kristýna Utínková also presented herself in the final race in Sunday's race and finished seventh in the Women 17+ category. The upcoming weekend is scheduled for the 5th and 6th rounds of the Sazka Czech BMX Cup at the Favorit in Brno.
