EN The turn of May and June of this year was for some Czech drivers a sign of another weekend of the European Cup, already the fourth this season. After Italy, Belgium and France, it was the turn of another traditional bicross country, the Netherlands. Above all, the Championships category had a more intimate atmosphere and a lower number of starters compared to the previous EP races, but we still witnessed exciting battles. Evropský pohár Even we did not have all members of the Talent Team at the start of the race. Some were absent due to injury, others due to preparation for the upcoming World Cup competitions or due to other obligations. Our colors were defended by Elen Lapková, Tobias Bleier, Vít Novotný, Oliver Miltner, Vít Stloukal, Viktor Oldřich Chudoba and Jakub Cidlinský. On Saturday, our maximum was placing in the TOP 16. This was ensured by Jan Hanus (Boys 15/16), Viktor Oldřich Chudoba (Men Junior) and Elen Lapková (Women Junior). Elen came to the start of the race with an injured knee, which she brought on at the last Czech Cup in Brno. The ligaments in her knee limited her so much that she decided not to participate in Sunday's race and preferred to start her recovery before the World Cup in Papendal, the Netherlands. Sunday meant a return to the TOP 8 for us! Viktor Oldřich Chudoba improved his appetite and drove his ticket to Sunday's final. In it, unfortunately, he was involved in a fall in front of him, and that left him in eighth position. Jan Hanus repeated his semi-final performance and, after Saturday's 11th place, took 12th place on Sunday. Jakub Cidlinský literally won the semi-finals among the U23 men with his ferocious ride and narrowly missed the gates of the final. The afternoon block of Challenge categories this year has been in the spirit of great performances by Czech riders, and Tiel was no exception! Tomáš Souček and Tadeáš Vlk mastered their Boys 11 category and went for the gold and silver medals on both days. Dominik Ráliš also finished undefeated in the Boys 14 category, who had some of his compatriots in the final races on both days. On Saturday, these drivers were second Matyáš Krnáč and eighth Adam Peterek, on Sunday third Alan Pětioký, fourth David Lapka and eighth again Adam Peterek. The other Saturday finalists were the seventh Jiří Kabriel (Boys 13), the bronze Roman Lampert (Boys 10), the fifth Sebastián Štěpánek (Boys 8) and among the cruiser category riders also Karel Štantejský (8th place - Cr 30-44) and Pavel Smrček (5th place - Cr 45+). On Sunday, Benjamin Fojtík, who took second place among the Boys 13 riders, made it to the finals of the Challenge categories, except for the above-mentioned Boys 11 and Boys 14 categories, and Sebastián Štěpánek followed up on his fifth place on Saturday with eighth place on Sunday. Both of Saturday's finalists on cruisers, Smrček and Štantejský, were also at the start of Sunday's final and both improved their Saturday positions. Smrček crossed the finish line in third place and Štantejský in fourth. The UEC European BMX Racing Cup is now on a longer break, it will resume in July between the European and World Championships.
