EN From Venice nad Jizerou, the UEC European Cup series moved to La Chapelle Saint Mesmin, France, where the competitors awaited a track that tested the riders' physical condition to the maximum. The length of the course and the overall difficulty was exacerbated by very strong winds throughout the weekend. This city last hosted the European Cup exactly 20 years ago. The original track, which is located just a few minutes' walk from the new area, is today only symbolized by the starting hill, turns and contours, and the area is no longer in operation, but if you compare the footage from 2006 and 2026, you will be able to see how much bicross has changed during that time. From the Czech point of view, the participation of the Talent Team and BMX Representation riders was not complete. The reasons were various, mainly numerous injuries or studies. Even so, we managed to bring back some successes. In the seventh round of the EP on Friday, we could watch the four Czechs in the final races. So far, the most stable performances are shown by some riders of the Boys 15/16 category, namely Dominik Ráliš and Matěj Pavka. They followed up on their previous performances and successes in France, where, by the way, they read the track during two rounds of the French Cup, which was held on the same track a week earlier, and they recorded great success here as well. Friday's European Cup earned Ráliš a bronze place, Pavka finished seventh. Štěpánka Fremlová, competing among girls 15/16, took sixth place, and the last finalist was Sabina Košárková, who is fighting an illness, and won fourth place among U23 women. On Saturday, when the 8th round of the EP took place, all the above-mentioned cadets repeated their participation in the final. Fremlová got involved in a nasty fall on the second straight and placed eighth, a similar fate awaited Pavka. Dominik Ráliš then repeated his performance from the previous day and took two bronze positions from France. When we point out that Dominik is a freshman in his category this year, we can only look forward to what he has in store for us in the future. Sabina Košárková stayed on the podium for a long time in Saturday's final, but finally crossed the finish line in fifth place. Our elite rider Marek Neužil was also placed in the same way, who bounced back from the unsuccessful Friday round and once again showed everyone that he belongs to the European top among the elite. In the Czech Republic, attention is now directed to Brno-Liskovce, which is hosting the 5th and 6th rounds of the allwin Czech BMX Cup this coming weekend.
