EN A week after the premiere race of the Czech Republic Pump Track Championship in Tošovice, where Vašek Najser, Jiří Weiner, Eliška Bartůňková and Martin Šálek brought home the championship jerseys, Czech cyclocross riders had the opportunity to test their strength in three races. At the same time, the CBL, MBL and World Cup races were on the program. The French town of Sarrians hosted the 5th and 6th rounds of the World Cup. Here we were represented by Eliška Bartůňková (Women U23), Marek Neužil, Jakub Vesecky and Jakub Cidlinski (all Men U23). Saturday's race was canceled due to strong winds. Sunday's race turned out as follows for our representatives. Unfortunately, Eliška was disqualified, both Jakubs could not make it to the quarterfinals. Advancement to the quarter-finals was secured only by Marek Neužil, who was close to advancing to the semi-finals for a long time, but contact with another driver in the last corner meant the end of the day for him as well. Závody The Moravian bicross league continued with a rainy 13th and cold 14th round in Opava. Almost 200 riders presented themselves here. Dominant performances were performed by riders Vít Stloukal (Bike Team Uničov, cat. Boys 15-16) and Jakub Klement (SK Jantar Opava, cat. Men 17+). Both were undefeated in their respective categories throughout the weekend, competing for the prize for fastest lap of the day.
