Sazka Mistrovství České republiky BMX 2024 - Praha-Bohnice
EN

We have successfully completed the peak of the domestic season. Last weekend, around 350 riders competed on the excellently prepared track in Prague-Bohnice, who were waiting for two fights for the championship title. On Saturday, the Czech Individual Championship Sazka was on the program, and Sunday was used to compare the performance of individual clubs, i.e. the MCR Team Sazka.

Závody

Already during Friday's training, it was obvious at first glance that we would witness very fast performances. The local track records high speeds directly, and those who do not have a high level of technique may have a problem driving through it. This also contributed to very interesting races. The completely different weather on both days was also a diversion, although it is clear that Sunday's waterlogged track was not welcomed by anyone. But the conditions are the same for everyone and it only depends on the riders how they deal with it.

I will repeat myself for the umpteenth time, and I'm glad, that the Championships category has perhaps a brighter tomorrow in the Czech Republic. Cat. At 23, even Elite do not yet have a large number of riders, but this does not apply to the Men Junior category. Almost two full ramps is a promising number and I hope that the boys will stick with the sport and fill the U23 and Elite categories in the future. The fascinating spectacle of the Czech Cups will then attract and excite younger riders who will want to follow them. In the Girls 13+ category, there was also an interesting number of bikers, and even with regard to the successes that our female representatives have traditionally achieved at world races, I wish that our young ladies will endure in BMX.

In the Championships categories, the following riders became champions of the Czech Republic:

Women Junior - Viktorie Adamcová (SK Jantar Opava)

Men Junior - Jakub Klement (SK Jantar Opava)

Women U23 - Petra Behenská (TJ Slovan Bohnice BMX)

Men U23 - Marek Neužil (TJ Slovan Bohnice BMX)

Women Elite - Eliška Bartuňková (Bikrosclub Řepy)

Men Elite - Matěj Chalupný (Bike Team Uničov)

Champions of the Challenge categories:

Boys 6 - Laura Tejmarová (TJ Slovan Bohnice BMX)

Boys 7 - Matěj Novák (Bikrosclub Řepy)

Boys 8 - Denisa Tománková (TJ Favorit Brno)

Boys 9 - Albert Kohoutek (SC BMX Venice)

Boys 10 - Jiří Luska (Bike Team Vyškov)

Cruiser Mini - Šimon Franta (Tufír Team)

Cruiser Top - Jáchym Černý (TJ Favorit Brno)

Cruiser Masters 30-44 - Jakub Skřejpek (TJ Favorit Brno)

Cruiser Masters 45+ - Robert Boček (TJ Favorit Brno)

Boys 11 - Ondřej Průcha (Bike Team Vyškov)

Boys 12 - Daniel Vejchoda (Utopia Bikes Zábřeh)

Girls 13-16 - Elen Lapková (TJ Slovan Bohnice BMX)

Boys 13 - Adam Peterek (SK Jantar Opava)

Boys 14 - Matej Pavka (BMX Krupka)

Boys 15 - Václav Najser (SK Jantar Opava)

Boys 16 - Vít Novotný (TJ Favorit Brno)

Men 17+ - Matěj Hurník (AMK BMX Studénka)

Masters 30+ - Tomáš Haluza (TJ Favorit Brno)

If we add up the winners of all categories and divide them by club, the TJ Favorit Brno club took first place with 6 championship titles. The home team TJ Slovan Bohnice BMX and also SK Jantar Opava will have the same number of four champions. Bikrosclub Řepy won two titles.

However, Sunday's team race did not correspond to Saturday's "ranking". The team MCR is different from the individual race, and it also depends on which categories your riders are competing in. Each ride is scored and if you have two top riders in your team riding in the same category, they will take points away from each other. Out of the total number of 75 teams, the team of SC BMX Venátky (Albert Kohoutek, Tomáš Vesecký, Lukáš Vesecký, Jan Očenášek) managed to put together the best team, which thus defended last year's championship. Competitors from the TJ Favorit Brno team (Ondřej Lux, Robert Boček, Vít Novotný, Tomáš Haluza) finished second, joined on the podium by the Bike Team Vyškov (Benjamin Fojtík, Jiří Luska, Ondřej Průcha, Jaromír Honzák).

We thank the organizers for a successful championship weekend and we will be able to watch some of the Czech riders next weekend at the European Cup in Latvia.
